YOUTUBE

So 2 years after setting up my second tube channel, (my first was 7 yrs ago and I bailed with that one as well) yesterday I finally plucked up the courage to film and now today finally published my first ever video.

What took me so long??

Yes I am incredibly late to the party only just getting in to it now, but truth be told I was always too scared. Scared of what? I really cannot answer that with one clear cut answer!

But a combination of looking silly, people laughing, people judging to name a few. In fact the very same things I try to teach my daughter to not let bother her- So it was about time I practised what I preach.

As I've gotten older I simply do not care anymore... I have learnt that people get judged all the time regardless!

I decided to go forward with my youtube channel to work alongside this blog to switch it up a little by adding occasional videos as oppose to just written posts all the time.

The videos will be about fashion, make up, hauls, tutorials and lifestyle based.

Please bare in mind this is my first ever video - more of a test video really to see how well the lighting, sound and video quality appears on film, so that in further videos it can improve.

My first video below is a make up video, I decided not to do in 'real time' as those type of videos bore the shit out me being like 20mins long!!!

I'm obviously very nervous and it definitely shows as this is just not natural for me, but hopefully the nerves will shift the more videos I film. Unfortunately my voice can't be fixed!-  cringe!! :(

Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions for future videos and subscribe. :) xx

York

This weekend Paul was lucky enough to be given a few days off, so we headed to York to recharge the batteries. As it was the bank holiday weekend and we didn't want to be stuck in traffic for hours we decided to hop on the train.

We stayed at The Royal York hotel and it was lovely and also in a perfect location.  Neither of us had visited York other than for work purposes before so it was nice to take in the sights, eat, drink and shop.

At night we had a dinner reservation booked at a little restaurant on the river.
I wore a Purple dress from Pretty Little Things which was actually a back up dress that I've had for a while but have never worn. It is almost identical to other dresses I have - but £150 cheaper!

I received so many texts and whatsapp messages from people asking where it was from, but they were more so impressed to learn it was just £15 and is available in many colours.

Suede Biker

The suede biker jacket is a popular choice this spring. Light weight and smooth to touch it is the perfect transitional piece.
I bought this mustard coloured suede biker late last summer or maybe even September time. But I've recently noticed it has been re added to the website for this season :)

The mustard colour is not a colour that I would normally choose but I have to say it matches things really well, I've worn it loads and definitely had my monies worth.

It is a perfect little jacket for popping over a dress or jumpsuit on a night out, with cigarette trousers and a top for lunch or as the final piece in a casual day time look with a simple pair of jeans and trainers.

KHAKI

I've noticed recently that I wear a lot of Khaki and since the weather is still quite cold I've been teaming khaki with black. I am so over this cold weather now and can't wait for sunshine and pastel colours.
That being said khaki is such a versatile colour to wear and can also be worn in spring summer with lighter neutral colours such as cream, white and nude shades.

Here is a few pics of how khaki features in my daily outfits.
