Happy New Year!!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New year.
After eating out for Christmas Lunch the last couple of years we decided this year we would stay at home. I always felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurants in previous years so I decided to cook for the family.
I have always cooked every year ( except the previous two ) but every time whilst sweating and stirring i'd say "I am not doing this next year!" and after the last two disappointing years of eating out the reality of it to me is that there is no better place than staying at home.
It was lovely and relaxed with just my parents joining us with my brother and his family popping over later.
New Years eve was also quiet with us watching Paul's game during the day and going over to friends in the evening. 
2016 has been a great year with lots of fantastic memories made. I went skiing for the first time with Madison to France, made family memories with Paul and the kids in Dubai and Kos.
Visited Florida with a friend and children, celebrated a friends hen do in Ibiza and enjoyed some adult time in Dubai, Cannes and St Tropez.
2016 also saw Ava start school and Madison move up to senior school and the arrival of my gorgeous niece Lyla Rose in June.
Hopefully 2017 looks set to become just as good if not better than 2016 starting with a trip to New York to celebrate Madison's birthday :)
