Boohoo Steal

I have to admit I am not really one to go for a frill or ruffles, but I did make an exception for this jumper. Ruffles seem to be all over the catwalks this spring along with pastels with Erdem and Holly Fulton to name a few adding subtle ruffles to their new pieces.

When I saw this frilled sleeved jumper online, I couldn't believe it was only £15!!

It looks and feels worth so much more. I also wore this jumper to the airport last week and 2 people asked me which designer it was.
I opted for white since I practically live in black but I think I might actually buy the black also.
It is really easy to wear and could be dressed down with jeans or dressed up with a skirt.

SKI STYLE

Last week, as it was half term and we were having some house renovation work done, I decided to take a little ski holiday. I've always wanted to try it, so finally took the plunge and booked. My oldest daughter Maddie and I joined some friends and visited Les Arcs in France. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning.
Obviously I took far too many clothes than I needed but you can never have too much right?
I really loved shopping for this holiday and as I've never been skiing before, I was in need of everything.  I purchased all the base layers and thermals from Sweaty Betty and found them fantastic and I was never cold. One of my Ski Coats (Black) was also from Sweaty Betty and it matched my thermals so naturally NEEDED this! I also bought the matching snood/balaclava - the shop assistant saw me coming!

I found Topshop had a great selection of ski wear also. The red Ski Jacket I wore was from Topshop Sno as was the Salopettes. It was the cheaper of the two ski coats but I found it much thicker. I was very impressed with the quality. I also liked the colour coordinated fur detachable hood.

I had 2 pairs of  ski goggles - one from Oakley and one from Nevica. My ski mittens are from Canada Goose.

During the trip I wore my hair in braids a couple of times to keep my hair back off my face and out of the way.

Off to the Ball

Last Saturday Paul and I attended a Charity Ball. The ball was held to raise money for the Baby Beat  Appeal at the Royal Preston Hospital.
The hospital being significantly important to us due to Ava and Luca being born there. We regularly donate to the neonatal unit that saved Ava's life and also the Stillbirth and neonatal death charity SANDS.
All money raised from James' Angel Ball will be used towards the cost to soundproof all 12 delivery suites on the Maternity Unit.
This will minimise noise transfer which is crucial particularly where expectant mothers are about to give birth to a baby who sadly isn't going to make it into this world. The joyous sound of a newborn baby is amazing, however it is devastating and heartbreaking to parents who are about to lose or have just lost their baby.

It was a fabulous night and Will and Nichole did a fantastic job planning and arranging everything and over £7,000 was raised.
I will definitely be asking some tips and advice for the ball we hope to plan early next year

NUDE VIBES

Black is my ultimate go to colour and I practically wear it everyday, but the all nude/neutral look is also one of my favourites.

Im wearing Stone coloured suede zip leggings and white ribbed roll neck jumper. I would normally wear nude coloured heels with this look but as I knew I would be walking quite far I decided to pair it with my rose gold metal superstar trainers.

The sun is shining but as it is still February and still really cold I added a wool blend oversized coat.
