SKI STYLE

Last week, as it was half term and we were having some house renovation work done, I decided to take a little ski holiday. I've always wanted to try it, so finally took the plunge and booked. My oldest daughter Maddie and I joined some friends and visited Les Arcs in France. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning.
Obviously I took far too many clothes than I needed but you can never have too much right?
I really loved shopping for this holiday and as I've never been skiing before, I was in need of everything.  I purchased all the base layers and thermals from Sweaty Betty and found them fantastic and I was never cold. One of my Ski Coats (Black) was also from Sweaty Betty and it matched my thermals so naturally NEEDED this! I also bought the matching snood/balaclava - the shop assistant saw me coming!

I found Topshop had a great selection of ski wear also. The red Ski Jacket I wore was from Topshop Sno as was the Salopettes. It was the cheaper of the two ski coats but I found it much thicker. I was very impressed with the quality. I also liked the colour coordinated fur detachable hood.

I had 2 pairs of  ski goggles - one from Oakley and one from Nevica. My ski mittens are from Canada Goose.

During the trip I wore my hair in braids a couple of times to keep my hair back off my face and out of the way.

  1. I love skiing and buying my jackets, goggles, mittens...the works! I recently purchased a ski goggle that I can also use during mountaneering, snowboarding and hiking. They are very comfortable - a big requirement for me and the photochromic lenses are excellent, as well. Some people buy cheap ones and I can't understand why you must sacrifice safety by choosing substandard ones. By the way, this site is awesome and has a great review for ski goggles, among others. 2. Great post! I love your ski style. I'm going skiing in January and this is exactly what I was looking for! I was wondering how the quality of the Topshop Sno jacket compared to your Sweaty Betty one?? For £90, am I better off with a Topshop Sno jacket or buying a secondhand SB one from eBay?

    Thank you!
